JOHNSON COUNTY —The fire department has always had the reputation of saving cats from trees. Johnson County Consolidated Fire District 1 decided to take it to the next level.

Just afater 6p.m. Wednesday, crews were asked if they could assist in bringing a pet iguana down from a tree after it escaped a week ago.
Fortunately, one of the members is experienced in handling reptiles so they were able to bring Mr. Tasslehoff down safely with teamwork.
"Shout-out to the Spring Hill Kansas Police Department for letting us borrow their animal catching pole."
