SPRING HILL, Kan.โThe Hutch High Boys used big quarter scoring in the 1st and 4th quarter Tuesday afternoon to win their first round game of the Spring Hill Invitational over Mill Valley 79 to 66.
Hutchinson set the tone by scoring 23 points to the Jaguars 10 then played Mill Valley even for the rest of the contest. The Salthawks (4-5) led 53-34 starting the 4th quarter and held off the Jaguars for the win by hitting 19 of 26 free throws in the final quarter.
The Salthawks were led by Nic Lange's 20 points followed by Garrett Robertson's 16 points and Kinser Newquist 15. Robertson nailed 8 straight charity tosses in the 4th quarter to lock up the win.
Hutchinson will play Olathe South at 6:30pm in Thursday's semi-final game as South defeated tourney host Spring Hill 75-45.

The Hutch High Girl's defeated 47- 38 at the Salthawk Activity Center. Grace Posh let the Salthawks with 14.
