Community organizations to host event with KLC coach

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Dr. Mildred Edwards will speak at Hutchinson Community College's Shears Technology Center on Thursday, March 23 at 6 p.m. on CRAFTING OUR WAY FORWARD: A Roadmap for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Edwards is being invited by the P and P (Parson & Pope) Show, the Hutchinson chapter of the NAACP, HutchCC Social Sciences and the Hutchinson Human Relations Commission.

Dr. Mildred Edwards is an explorer who is passionate about helping others navigate their course through life and leadership.

Edwards does coaching and integrates the Kansas Leadership Center's ideas with Dare to Lead and Measuring Organizational Trust to drive the accomplishment of individual and organizational leadership, diversity, equity, justice and inclusion goals. 

Dr. Edwards holds her PhD in Community Psychology from Wichita State University and an International Coach Federation credential. Edwards is also Chair of the Kansas Advisory Committee of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Kansas delegate to the Drexel University Vision 2020 initiative and volunteers with other women's service organizations.
