Mark Anthony Neighbor, 64, of El Dorado, KS, passed away on April 26, 2026. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 27, 1961, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Darryl and Gloria (Moore) Neighbor.

Mark grew up with strong values of hard work and dedication, graduating from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1979. He continued his education at Hutchinson Community College, where he earned an associate degree in diesel mechanics. He later completed an electrical apprenticeship with the union, beginning a long and respected career in the electrical field. Mark worked as an electrician with IBEW Local 661, and later as an electrician/instrumentation technician for Nustar Pipeline, where he was known for his skill, reliability, and commitment to his craft.

On July 18, 1981, Mark married the love of his life, Kimberly (Kretzer) Neighbor, in Hutchinson, Kansas. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering support for one another.

Mark’s greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. His steady presence, kind heart, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kim Neighbor, of El Dorado; his children, Kurt (Amber) Neighbor, of Hutchinson, and Kaycee (Brandon) Antle, of Hutchinson; his grandchildren, Isaak, Lamont, and Garrett; his father, Darryl Neighbor, of Wichita; his siblings, Dale (Kim) Neighbor, of Knoxville, and Lucinda (Brian) Hutchins, of El Dorado; sister-in-law, Kerri (Matt) Fritz; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mark in passing is his mother, Gloria Neighbor.

A memorial service honoring Mark’s life will take place on June 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hope Covenant Church in El Dorado. Memorial donations in his name may be directed towards Hope Covenant Church, for future projects, and All Things, a Christian outreach ministry.
