South Hutchinson Police Department
SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — South Hutchinson Police Department announced on June 22 that the suspect in a drive by shooting that occurred in South Hutchinson on June 19 is in custody.
The suspect was taken into custody the night of June 21 in South Dakota at approximately 11:30 p.m.
At approximately 4:50 p.m. on Monday, South Hutchinson police officers and deputies from the Reno County Sheriff’s office were dispatched to the 300 block of East 3rd in reference to a drive by shooting.
A female standing in front of the residence had a single gunshot wound to the wrist that was non-life threatening. The female was treated and released from the hospital.
Due to the suspect being a juvenile the name is not being released at this time. The investigation is still on going.
