PRETTY PRAIRIE, Kan. — A plan to bring a facilities improvement bond issue before the district's patrons could be in place tonight as the Pretty Prairie USD 311 School Board meets in a special session.
The district has been working on a bond issue for the past year. They hope to have the final scope of the project and official wording in place to act on at this meeting. The district recently sent out a survey to its patrons asking what they want to see in a bond project. Responses ranged from maintenance needs to major renovations to existing buildings. Such proposals could run anywhere from $4 million to nearly $10 million depending on what the board decides to bring before the voters. The district is hoping to bring the matter up for a vote in August.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the middle school auditorium.
