HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The late Jeanette Mull will have her art exhibited at the Hutchinson Art Center this week.
"This is an exhibition that I have been working with this artist for the past four or five months to create," said Jace Chambers with the Hutchinson Art Center. "Unfortunately, she has passed right before we've had the opportunity to pull off this exhibition. However, she has put in a ton of work, her family has put in a ton of love to put this exhibit on. It is celebrating the life of a woman that I was honored to know through the Art Center and I really want to see her exhibit, her art celebrated.
Chambers called Mull a national-class artist.
"She is a wonderful painter," Chambers said. "Coming and celebrating her exhibit, opening on March 31 in the evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., would be just a wonderful indication of support and response to show her family and her loved ones how much we really appreciate her creative contributions to our community."
The family will be in town for her Celebration of Life on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
