HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Art Center is seeking applications for the position of Executive Director. Jace Chambers is moving on to a position with Hutch Rec.
The Hutchinson Art Center's mission is to collect, preserve, document and interpret North American art of the 20th and 21st centuries and to provide art education for the enrichment of present and future generations.
The Executive Director will:
- Work closely with and report to the Board of Directors
- Supervise daily operations, employees, financial records and be responsible for facility maintenance
- Follow accurate collection protocol
- Establish and maintain exhibits
- Research and pursue grants
- Collaborate with community art partners
Qualifications are:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, art or museum education preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Salary is commensurate with the applicant’s degree and experience.
