Judy (Judith) Rae Stancer, 76, of Valley Center, KS, went to be with the Lord with family by her side on November 2nd, 2022.

Judy was preceded in death by her Brother Douglas Griffin, Father Don Griffin, and Mother Jeanne Griffin. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years James H. Stancer, and sons Don Stancer, Michael Stancer (Anita), and Lee Stancer (Gracee). She was blessed with four grandchildren (Riley, Ashlynn, Bradyn, Eli). She was well loved by her sisters Gwen Stith, Ann McKay (Michael), sister in laws JoAnn Seyb (John Seyb), Judy Kasper, and Sue Griffin (Doug). She cherished 10 nieces and nephews Deborah Walters, Deanna Bartonek, Darren Seyb, Noah McKay, Kate McKay, Bobby Griffin, Christina Kratky, Ronda Patrick, Randy Lauppe, and Donna Morgan, great nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends.

Judy graduated from Wichita West High School where she met her husband Jim the very first day of high school. Jim and Judy were never separated from each other after that day. She later went on to earn her BA from Pittsburg State University and became a teacher in the Parsons, KS school district. She served her community by providing in home daycare for 43 years where she helped raise hundreds of children. Judy touched many lives through her kindness, faith, service, and love.

Judy was very grounded in her faith. She served her church for 39 years (Life-point Church in Valley Center, KS), serving as a Sunday School Teacher and active member of the Church. Judy focused on teaching children about Christ, the value of community, and caring for one another. Judy was selfless and gave her time generously to all. She loving gave her advice and was always there to lean on.

Most importantly, Judy was a loving wife and mother to her family. She was one of the most patient, loving, thoughtful people the world has ever known. Judy was loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed… especially her laugh and sense of humor.

Judy’s entire family would like to thank the friends and family for their support, understanding, prayers, and love. We will never forget all that you’ve done.

People are invited to attend Judy's memorial service at Lifepoint Church in Valley Centeron November 10, 2022 at 10am.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be designated in her memory to Children's Mercy. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center is handling arrangements.
