HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Kansas Honor Flight is holding a Patriotic Celebration Nov. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Moose Lodge at 1401 East 1st in Hutchinson. The group is holding a Red, White and Stew supper. Veterans Eat Free. Honor Flight will be serving a large bowl of Chris’s Famous Beef Stew for only $5. There also will be hamburgers available and a bake sale.

The Kansas Honor Flight Hutchinson (KHF) Volunteers are fully-powered by all-volunteers. The Kansas Honor Flight volunteers works to honor Kansas veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War by providing them with an all expense paid three day trip of honor and remembrance to visit their memorials in Washington, D.C. The organization also works to educate the youth and communities throughout Kansas about the impact of these historic wars and the freedom our nation enjoys because of the service of our veterans.

The trip cost is approximately $900 per veteran. There are approximately 600 Kansas Veterans waiting to go on this once in a lifetime trip.
