SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The City of South Hutchinson is unloading some items as it looks to thin out some surplus property.

According to City Manager Joe Turner, South Hutchinson is currently disposing of surplus property via the Purple Wave auction site. You can find items at www.purplewave.com.

The most valuable asset the city is auctioning off is a grader. It has a bid of $40,000 right now. Most city and county governments use Purple Wave to auction off surplus since entities funded by taxes can’t sell or give away such property.
