Reno County COVID cases fall to 515

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — COVID cases continue to decline in the area. As of Monday morning, the number of positive cases in Reno County fell from 540 on Friday to 515.

The number of deaths from COVID stands at 159. Nine patients are currently hospitalized. After hovering between 600 and 650 positive cases since just after the state fair ended the number has dropped. 

With the fair ending two weeks ago, the numbers will still be watched to see if it has any effect on cases in the county. The number of cases from this surge of COVID topped out at 680 on September 14. Cases fell below 600 on September 24.
