
ROSE HILL, Kan. — The Buhler Crusaders baseball team ended the regular season with a split on the road at Rose Hill on Monday evening. The Crusaders won the first game 6-3, before falling in the second game 6-3.
The Crusaders jumped on the Rockets early in the first game, as Matthew Eddy hit his first home run of the season. Jeffrey Neill earned the win on the mound. Buhler collected six hits in the win.
Buhler jumped out to a quick start in the second game, leading 3-0. The Rockets had an answer and would score the next six runs in the game to earn the split. The Rockets scattered 10 hits in the ballgame. Bryant Voth and Brenden Scripsick each had two hits apiece to lead the Crusaders.
The Crusaders finish the regular season with a 14-6 record and can finish no worse than fifth place in the class 4A west regional standings. The Rockets end their regular season 16-4 and will be the No. 2 seed in regional play next week.
