Position Summary
The EVS Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property, buildings, and equipment of The Wesley. This role ensures that all maintenance tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and with attention to the comfort and safety of our residents and staff.
This position operates in a dynamic environment where patience, flexibility, and professionalism are key. Frequent interruptions or schedule changes may occur, requiring a calm and adaptable approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain interior and exterior areas of all buildings, property, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor carpentry repairs as needed.
- Maintain and inspect fire alarm and mitigation systems.
- Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out safety procedures—no work is performed on live electrical components.
- Assist in emergency situations and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Kansas driver’s license in good standing.
- Must meet insurance and organizational requirements to operate company vehicles.
- Able to pass a background check, be bondable, and insurable.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of general building systems and maintenance tools.
- Professional, well-groomed appearance; adherence to The Wesley’s dress code.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities.
- Positive attitude, patience, and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.
