Voter registration deadline is today

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — If you are a Reno County resident and have not registered to vote, but want to be able to vote on the question to remove the food sales requirement for establishments that sell alcohol, there are several important dates coming up soon.

The last day to register to Vote for the Nov. 7 election is Oct. 17.

The first day advance ballots go out in the mail is Oct. 18 and you have to have filed the paperwork ahead of time.

The first day for early voting at the Reno County Annex is Oct. 23 and you can vote from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Annex at 125 West 1st until Nov. 3.

You can still vote early at the same location from 8 a.m. to noon on Nov. 6.

Election Day is Nov. 7 and polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at your regular polling place.

Voting is open to all Reno County residents who have properly registered.
