HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Kansas is all about agriculture and the subject is taught at the college level all throughout the state. At the high school level that has not been the case in most areas. Hutchinson USD 308 hopes to change that with new courses at the Career and Technical Education Academy.
The USD 308 School Board will take action Monday on a new series of courses at the HCTEA centered around agriculture and ag science. Courses include Intro to Agriculture, Food Science, Animal Science, and Bio-Technology in Agriculture among others. The board will also take action on computer purchases and go over several personnel matters. Tonight’s USD 308 School Board meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the USD 308 offices at 1520 N. Plum.
