McPherson Opera House
MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Opera House Executive Director Karissa Hoffman has given her resignation to Board President Denise O’Connor-Munsey, effective August 9, 2024. While we are sad to see Karissa leave, she is heading on to a new opportunity in Lindsborg, and we know she will continue to have a positive impact on our communities.
During her time with the Opera House, Karissa has led the reinvigoration of our fundraising efforts. She has made significant strides in growing our Endowment at the McPherson Community Foundation, which is currently over $1 million. Last season was our first full season back after the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are grateful for Karissa’s leadership during this rebuilding period.
Our Producing Director, Jordan Bandy, and Office Manager and Events Coordinator, Jolie Green, will be continuing on staff. The Executive Director role will remain open at this time.
We encourage everyone to continue supporting the Opera House as we continue to expand our show seasons, educational programming, and rentals. We are especially excited to bring you Grammy(R) winner Crystal Gayle on September 19. If you haven’t yet seen our new rental space, The Encore Room, we encourage you to stop by; it is the space south of the Box Office with windows onto Main Street.
