HAVEN, Kan. — Outgoing Haven USD 312 Superintendent Clark Wedel has been named the fourth quarter Impact Award winner for the district. Wedel will be leaving USD 312 at the end of June.

The nomination stated that Wedel has been a strong leader in many areas during his time at USD 312 Haven. Wedel was charged with the task of implementing a bond issue for the district and has demonstrated fiscal leadership in getting the district from being on KSDE’s watchlist for school district budgets, to being in great shape according to KSDE and a local auditor.

Wedel led the USD 312 Foundation from a barely-known entity to a group that raises thousands of dollars each year for the teachers, for this employee recognition program itself, and other uses.

The USD 312 Employee of the Year program selects an Impact Award Winner each quarter with one of these four individuals being chosen at the Employee of the Year later this month.
