NEWTON, Kan. — The playground at Lincoln Park and the northeast playground at Athletic Park will be closed next week for repairs to the poured-in-place rubber surfacing.
The contractor will begin with Lincoln Park on Tuesday, July 9 and hopes to complete the work that day. Then they will begin work at Athletic Park on Wednesday, July 10.
Both playgrounds will be fenced off until the surfacing product has cured. Staff expects to have both playgrounds back open to the public no later than Friday, July 12.
