HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch Rec, in collaboration with the Kansas State Fairgrounds, Strataca, and the Cosmosphere, announce the 10th annual Smallville Festival, presented by First National Bank and taking place June 15-17.
Residents and visitors are invited to attend this three-day celebration that pays homage to Clark Kent and Smallville. The Smallville Festival celebrates the community - a community celebration that focuses on small-town values, traditions, hard work, grit, determination, and pride in where we live.
Featured events at this year’s Smallville Festival include:
Thursday, June 15
Celebrate Smallville during Third Thursday with free, family-friendly and all-ages events, activities, and live music throughout Downtown Hutchinson, 6-9 p.m.
Friday, June 16:
First Responders Appreciation Lunch at the Reno County Museum, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Clark Kent-themed movie at the Fox Theatre (matinee + evening shows)
Saturday, June 17:
Smallville 5K at Strataca, 8 a.m.
Superhero Inflatable Obstacle Fun Run at the Kansas State Fairgrounds race track, 11 a.m.
Smallville Challenge (Amazing Race-style event) in Downtown Hutchinson, 1-5 p.m.
Smallville Fair, Food & Tunes at the Kansas State Fairgrounds, 6-9 p.m.
