
RENO COUNTY, Kan. — The subject of zoning in the entirety of Reno County will be discussed by the Board of County Commissioners at their meeting on Wednesday.
County Counselor Patrick Hoffman has been researching the topic and will present to the commission.
The issues that have brought up the potential of zoning areas of the county other than the northeast and southeast corners are generally related to alternative energy proposals.
Even now, there is an overlay in Reno County related to wind production.
The general conversation was raised as the Planning Commission brought its regulations for small-scale commercial solar to the county commission.
The Board of County Commissioners meets Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Veterans Room at the Reno County Courthouse.
