LeVonne Minear, 97 of McPherson and formerly of Canton, died September 25, 2022 at The Cedars, McPherson. She was a retired registered nurse.
She was born July 9, 1925 in Galva, the daughter of Daniel and Beulah (Waln) Russell. On June 9, 1948 she married Billy B. Minear in Canton. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2011.
She was a member of the McPherson First United Methodist Church and the Canton American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Bruce (Tish) Minear, Colorado Springs, Colorado; two daughters, Nancy Banning, Hutchinson and Jill (Darren) Roller, Canton; a brother, Rex Russell, Mentor; a sister, Carolee Chartier, McPherson; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A grandson, Brian Minear, two brothers, Delton and Marvin Russell and a sister, Yunietta Taylor, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at the McPherson First United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Canton Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.
