Johnnie K “John” Loewen, Jr., 93, died October 25, 2022, at Hospice House surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 19, 1929, in McPherson, to John K Loewen and Ruth L. (Rariden) Loewen.

John attended school in McPherson. He then joined the service at the young age of 17, proudly serving his country for eight years. John worked at Cessna/Eaton, retiring in 1992.

He was a long-time faithful member of Eastwood Church of Christ. John loved bowling and was on too many leagues to count. In addition, he was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and tried to never miss a game.

On Dec 31, 1955, John married Marjorie A Bender, in Moundridge. They shared almost 67 years of marriage.  She survives.

Also surviving are: his three daughters, Debbie Wilson, Diane Farney (Rudy), all of Hutchinson, and Donna McCoy (Kent) of Granby, CO; grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Jeni Perko (Jack), Ami Ratzlaff (Tanner), Julie McNeil (Brett) and Megan DeCorte (Chris); 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette “Kay” Goodsheller of McPherson.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; siblings; Evelyn Ratzlaff, Thomas Skipworth, Jimmy Skipworth, and Patsy Skipworth; and a grandson, Kyle McCoy.

Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m.  Friday, October 28, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with ministers Jimmie Keas, Wayne DeWindt and Steve Sears officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard.  Inurnment will follow in West Zion Cemetery, Moundridge.   Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.  Cremation has taken place.
