HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson man convicted of holding up two convenience stores in January will be sentenced Friday in Reno County District Court.
Kevon Ford and 21-year-old Trever McDade were arrested in the armed holdups of the 17th and Monroe and the 43rd and Plum Kwik Shop stores. In both cases, an armed man using an ice scraper or a hand saw as weapons made off with either money or tobacco products, or both.
The two were arrested when officers arrived in the area of 43rd and Plum and located both subjects in a vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier that morning.
