SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Mennonite Friendship Communities has received special recognition from the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services after earning a zero-deficiency rating on its annual survey.
KDADS representatives visited the South Hutchinson continuing-care community to recognize the assisted living facility’s performance.
A deficiency-free survey means inspectors found the facility in full compliance with applicable state regulations during its most recent inspection. KDADS conducts surveys of licensed assisted living facilities across Kansas to evaluate their compliance with state standards.
“We are thrilled to accept this great honor — a zero-deficiency rating is a wonderful recognition for all staff members who helped this good survey to happen,” Executive Director Dawn Veh said.
Mennonite Friendship Communities Assisted Living provides support for seniors who need assistance with daily activities. The community offers one- and two-bedroom apartments and three levels of care.
Services include three daily meals, weekly linen changes, housekeeping and personal laundry. Assistance is also available with bathing, dressing, medication management, other personal needs and nursing care.
Founded in 1973, Mennonite Friendship Communities offers a full continuum of services for people in central Kansas. The organization said its mission is to enhance the quality of life for residents, staff members and the wider community while providing personalized care.
