Marilyn Jackson, 94, of South Hutchinson, died November 25, 2024, at Hospice House. She was born June 19, 1930, in Hutchinson, to Jacob F. and Susie (Rempel) Richert.

Marilyn graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1948. She was a homemaker and, when her sons were grown, went to work at Ineeda Cleaners for 25 years until she retired. Marilyn was an avid reader and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Marilyn was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.

On September 28, 1950, she married Roy A. Jackson, in Hutchinson. They shared over 74 years of marriage.

Marilyn is survived by: her husband, Roy; sons, Craig Jackson and wife Janis of Hutchinson, Bruce Jackson and wife Kathryn of Paola, Brian Jackson of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Kari Mailloux and husband Phillip, Brianne Jackson, Carissa Jackson, Tom Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Sarah Terrell and husband Zach, Joe Power and wife Gretchen; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dorothy Elliott.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastwood Church of Christ or Hutchinson Public Library, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
