
BUHLER, Kan. — Buhler USD 313 posted on social media Monday that they received grant funding for flu and COVID testing supplies.
According to the district, the COVID rapid antigen test is self administered by swabbing the nasal lining. Results are available within 10 minutes. These tests can be given at the school to students and staff who are symptomatic or want to test due to close contact or symptomatic. Parents must give verbal permission for their student to be tested.
The tests are available to the community, staff, and parents to take home and can be picked up at USD 313 school buildings or the central office.

New this year for USD 313 is the BD Veritor COVID/Flu Combo Test. It is a rapid test that is self administered by swabbing the nasal lining. Results are available within 20 minutes. This tests for COVID, Influenza A, and Influenza B. This test is performed at the school and can not be taken at home. Parents must give verbal permission for a student to be tested but the test is available to the community, parents, and staff.
