
HAVEN, Kan. — Haven Police posted on social media on Tuesday that passing a school bus with the stop arm out is an expensive ticket.
In Haven, this fine on the first violation is $315 plus court costs of $92.50. A total of $407.50.
Please stop when the arm is out. Forget the fine, remember the life the sign is there to protect.
The state law changed in 2018. A third violation anywhere in the state will cost a driver more than $1,000.
Haven USD 312's first day of school is Wednesday, August 16.
