HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson USD 308 and the union representing its teachers will meet once again on Wednesday to work through two sticking points that stand between them and a new collective bargaining agreement.

The two sides will meet with a mediator after they declared an impasse in August. According to Director of Human Resources Dr. Dawn Johnson, the sticking points have to do with the salary schedule for teachers, a new discipline procedure and how such matters are handled.

Johnson said they expect the meeting to last through the evening and hope both sides can come together on a new contract.

Thursday's meeting begins at 4 p.m. at the USD 308 Administration Center at 1520 N. Plum.
