HUTCHINSON, Kan. — According to a social media post on Sunday from Cause for Paws, Inc., they along with Hutch Rec have decided to cancel Dog Day at the Splash on Monday due to the extreme heat.
An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect until the middle of the week, with Heat Index values from 105 to 113 each day.
A major anticipated danger for dogs who would have attended is the heat on the asphalt outside of the pool area.
