Phyllis A. Price 96, died January 21, 2024 at Kansas Christian Home. She was born January 21, 1928 in Moline, Kansas to Harry and Daisy (Wood) McGuire. On July 20, 1952 she married Floyd H. Price in Wichita, Kansas and he survives of the home.
She attended Friends University in Wichita and graduated from Peabody College for Teacher in Nashville, Tennessee. Phyllis was a retired school teacher in the Wichita and Derby districts. She was a long time active member of the First Christian Church in Newton. Phyllis was an avid K-State sports fan. She would find time to relax enjoying gardening, antiquing and reading. Family was important to Phyllis and she looked forward to spending time with her loving family and many friends,
She is survived by her daughter Margaret (Chuck) O'Brien; son Charles H (Lisa) Price; 2 grandchildren Charlie (Casey) O'Brien and Colleen (Ryan) Volkman; 2 great grandchildren Jordan Volkman and Lennon O'Brien.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton with Chaplain Diana Leaf officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2024 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita, Kansas
