⚾️ Tulsa Drillers blank Wichita Wind Surge

TULSA, Ok—Three Tulsa Driller pitchers combine to shutout the Wichita Wind Surge this afternoon in a 4-0 Tulsa win.

Tulsa scored a pair of runs in the third inning. The Drillers took advantage of a pair of walks and Jorbit Vivas hit an RBI single. Andy Pages hit a sacrifice fly to extend the lead.

The Drillers scored again in the eighth on a two-run home run from Imanol Vargas.

The Wind Surge out hit Tulsa 5-4 in the game, the Surge stranded nine base runners and finished zero for four with runners in scoring position.

David Festa got the start for the Surge on the hill and pitched a little over four. He struck out six, walked three, and allowed two runs and three hits. Osiris German, Hunter McMahon and Jordan Brink closed it out.

The winning pitcher was Tulsa’s Tanner Dodson, he dealt three innings in relief. Festa received the loss and is now 1-1 on the season. John Rooney picked up the save for the Drillers. The series is even at one.

NOTES –The Surge fell to 0-3 in day games. Brooks Lee improves his hitting streak to ten straight.
