HUTCHINSON, Kan. — David Foster with the Hutchinson YMCA said Monday night's Open House was a big success.
"We had, probably during the 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. time frame, with regular members and then guests coming in, we probably had around 300 people pass through the Y last night and check out all the great things that we have to offer," Foster said.
A substantial number of those that came in left with new memberships.
"We ended up with 29 new membership units," Foster said. "It was pretty awesome. If you think about a typical month, our goal for a typical month would be somewhere around 60-80 membership units. To have a big chunk of that in one evening is pretty awesome and a great way to kick off the fall season at the YMCA, for sure."
The Y is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 716 East 13th.
