HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The USD 309 Board of Education will go over the Design Development Estimate from McCown Gordon for many of the bond projects to be done in 2024 at its meeting on Monday.
According to agenda documents, the Design Development estimate is for the work at the Nickerson Elementary School, Nickerson High School, Reno Valley Middle School and South Hutchinson Elementary.
Work at these campuses includes security film at all glass exterior doors, upgrades at main entrances, bathrooms, the high school auditorium, and an addition at South Hutch Elementary.
The Design Development cost estimate for the project is $4,542,077. That does not include any roof work.
The intended timeline is for the design drawings to be finished by January 2, bidding to happen in January, and approval of the bids in February, so work can start in March over Spring Break for some of the projects.
The USD 309 Board of Education meets Monday at 7 p.m. at the District Office at 4501 West Fourth.
