
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Cosmosphere will join thousands of participants in more than 90 countries to celebrate World Space Week. “Women in Space” is the theme of this year’s celebration.
On Wednesday, Oct. 6, Cosmosphere’s newest exhibit, “Women in Space,” opens to the public. The exhibit tells the story of individual women’s trials and triumphs as their lives intersected with the history of space exploration over the past six decades. The exhibit will highlight 12 women’s inspiring contributions to space education and space exploration.
World Space Week is coordinated by the United Nations with the support of the World Space Week Association.
