
INDEPENDENCE, Kan. — Hutchinson knocked off some rust in the second half Wednesday night as the Dragons nailed 11 three-pointers in just 20 attempts (55%).
The Dragons have hit at least 11 three-pointers in their last three contests, but converted on just 27.5% of their attempts just two games ago.
Four Dragons hit at least three triples: Aaron Franklin (4-8), Aaron Potter (3-5), Jayden Garrison (3-6) and Jackson Leyba (3-5).
Franklin (20), Potter (15), and Garrison (15) each finished in double digits. Leyba shot exclusively from three-point land and finished with nine.
Kernan Bundy (12), Cris Carroll (11) and Ra'Sean Frederick (11) also scored in double figures as six Dragons scored 11 or more.
Josh Smith led Indy with 27 points.
Hutchinson shot the ball 21 more times than Indy (81-60).
Forty-one field-goal attempts were from distance for Hutchinson. The Dragons hit 17 treys in all (41.5%).
The Dragons notched 38 points off 28 Pirate turnovers.
