Wayne Melvin Robbins, 93, passed away May 22, 2023, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born August 18, 1929, in Attica, KS, to Harry Lee Robbins and May (White) Robbins.
Wayne served in the United States Army from March 1948 to March 1952. He worked as a heavy-duty mechanic his entire life. Wayne’s last employment was with the City of Hutchinson, retiring with many years of service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, KS. Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and boating.
He married Joyce Osenbaugh. She passed away October 10, 1982. He married Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Ann Scrogham in 1983. She passed away September 10, 2020.
Wayne is survived by: his son, Larry Robbins of Hutchinson, KS; step-sons, Ron (Christina Ivers) Scrogham of Irving, TX, and Michael (Cindy) Scrogham of Virginia; grandchildren, Austin Robbins, Anne Scrogham, and Marie Scrogham; great-grandchild, Brantley Robbins; fiancée, Claudette Smith of Hutchinson, KS; sister-in-law, Carol Edginton of Eldon, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wives, Joyce Robbins and Roberta Robbins; and brothers, Glen Robbins and Calvin Robbins.
No services are planned. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
