BROWN COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.
Just after 6:30p.m. on Jan. 19, Brown County dispatch received several reckless driving 911 calls on a white Cadillac Escalade on US 75 Highway, according to Sheriff John Merchant.
A Brown County deputy was near the location and was able to observe the vehicle cross the center line at least twice. The deputy then initiated a traffic stop on the SUV and spoke with the driver identified as 32-year-old Cassondra Smith of Falls City, Nebraska.
The deputy immediately detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. At the conclusion of the traffic stop, Smith was arrested on charges of DUI and Child Endangerment.
