CLOUD COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect for alleged child sex crimes and looking for more possible victims.

Last month, the Concordia Police Department initiated an extensive investigation into suspected Internet Crimes Against Children, according to a media release.

Just after 11:30a.m. on September 4, officers with the Concordia Police Department executed a search warrant at 102 Strain Ave., Concordia, Kansas, in connection with the ongoing investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant was executed for the arrest of 68-year-old Lyle Dejmal.

He was taken into custody, and multiple electronic devices were seized for further analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.

Dejmal was transported to Cloud County Corrections for processing on a Cloud County warrant. The original charges associated with the warrant are 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

Due to the nature of this investigation, the Concordia Police Department encourages parents and guardians to speak with their children and determine whether they have had any contact with Dejmal.

If you or your child have had contact with Dejmal or have information that may assist investigators, please contact Detective Emma Thyfault at ethyfault@concordiaks.org or Lieutenant Adam Sorell at asorell@concordiaks.org.
