PRETTY PRAIRIE, Kan. — Pretty Prairie’s new superintendent Ashley Anderson will be coming on-board sooner than planned. The USD 311 Board approved moving up Anderson’s start date to June 1.
Anderson was to start July 1 at the beginning of the new fiscal year, but when Superintendent Randy Hendrickson was terminated by the board last month, work began to see if Anderson could begin her leadership role sooner.
She replaces Interim Superintendent Mike Baldwin, who has been leading the district since Hendrickson's dismissal.
Anderson is currently the curriculum director in the Savannah, Missouri, school district near St. Joseph. She is originally from a small town in Chase County near Emporia. She received her master's degree and specialist degree from Fort Hays State University.
