
HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A Hutchinson man was arrested Friday night after police were called on shots fired early Friday morning.
According to Hutchinson Police Lt. Dustin Loepp, at 1:31 a.m. Friday, officers of the Hutchinson Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 blk E 4th Ave in reference to a shooting.
When officers arrived they contacted a 49 year old male who reported that while he was inside his residence he heard gunshots coming from outside. An undisclosed number of bullets entered the interior of his home in close proximity to where he was located and his personal property damaged. The victim was not injured. The area was searched but a suspect was not located.
Investigators were later able to identify a suspect. It was discovered that the suspect and victim were acquainted with each other, and there is reason to believe that the shooting was premeditated.
On February 10, 2022 at approximately 7:15 p.m. Daniel Coronado Jr. WM/29 of Hutchinson was arrested and taken to the Reno County Jail for 1) Attempted 1st Degree Murder 2) Felony criminal damage to property.
A juvenile female involved in the investigation was also taken into custody for 1) Possession of marijuana 2) possession of paraphernalia 3) interference with law enforcement.
All suspects are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
This investigation is still ongoing and this is all the information being released at this time.
