HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Planning Commission has one case to consider at its meeting on Tuesday.
That case is a zone change from C-4 Special Commercial District to I-1 Light Industrial District on property generally located southeast of Halstead Street and 4th Avenue at 1st and Scott.
The applicant, Simplified Trucking Solutions L.L.C. wants to develop the property with a small single-story office building with outdoor parking and storage for tractor trailers. The change in zoning will allow the applicant to park and store tractor trailers for an extended period on the property.
A C-4 district does not allow extended storage, but I-1 does. Staff is recommending approval of the application, as the property in question lies between commercial and industrial uses.
The Hutchinson Planning Commission meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 125 East Avenue B.
