LITTLE RIVER, Kan. — MTC internet based in Little River, the service that handles calls to McPherson County dispatch that are not 911 calls, experienced a significant Internet outage on Tuesday evening, which meant that for that period in McPherson County, only 911 calls went through to dispatch.
According to the company, this incident represents the first major network disruption in over a decade.
By 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, MTC says the company had successfully restored full Internet service to all affected users.
MTC would like to apologize to all users and assure them the company has already taken action to prevent this from happening in the future.
"We value our customers' trust and are dedicated to delivering a consistently high-quality service," MTC said Wednesday.
