Doris Ann Atchison, 82, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Pratt Health and Rehab. She was born on November 2, 1941 in Kingman to Alphons Herman and Bernardine E. (Rottering)Voss.
Doris attended Amarillo College. She worked as a sales clerk and deli worker for 25 years at Toot 'N Totum in Amarillo, Texas where she was also a manager and received manager of the year. Most recently she worked at Casey General Store in Medicine Lodge. She was a member of Community Bible Fellowship. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved being sociable and was a jokester to her customers and coworkers. When she had to stop working, she missed it so much.
She is survived by her children, Chris Lapel of Amarillo, Texas, Marlene (Mike) Ruggles of Tyler, Texas, Kenny (Jodie) Striley of Amarillo, Texas and Doug Atchison, II of Medicine Lodge; siblings, Lawrence (Wanda) Voss, Harold (Norma) Voss, Joyce Korth, Ralph (Gale) Voss all of Pratt, Virginia "Jen" (Charles) Lackey of Amarillo, Texas and Marilyn (Merle) Talbott of Wichita; sister in-law, Connie Voss of Pratt; grandchildren, Steven (Janice) Johnson, Sara (Tate) Harris, John Atchison, Aaren Ruggles, Andrew (Megan) Striley, Madison Striley, James Striley, Dusty (Marissa) Atchison and Donna Atchison; great-grandchildren, Emery and Oliver Johnson, Raelynn and Krew Harris, Zander, Zailey and Zoey Striley, Emmalynn Fischer, Christa, McKaylee and Garrett Atchison and Jonathon and Jordan Ham.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alphons Voss, Jr.; infant brother, Jimmy Voss; sisters in-law, Inez Voss and Shorty Voss; and brothers in-law, Mark Boyter and Bill Korth.
Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd, Pratt. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2024 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt with Pastor Dwain Richert presiding. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
