GREAT BEND, Kan. — No. 15 Hutchinson (4-1) hit the road for the first time this year for a neutral-court matchup against Truman College (Chicago).
The Dragons only turned the ball over nine times in a 98-59 victory.
Eighteen turnovers doomed the Dragons earlier in the week against Division II opponent KCK.
Hutchinson used 55 bench points to pull away from the Falcons (0-2).
Quez Thornton, Kobe Smith and Khalil Arnold scored 45 of the team's 55 off the bench.
Thornton and Smith each scored 16, while Arnold added 13.
Mikhail Abdul-Hamid continued his hot-streak from distance by burying 5-0f-9 triples. Abdul-Hamid now has back-to-back games with five three-pointers.
The Dragons outrebounded the Falcons 44-32. Thornton led Hutchinson in rebounding with eight snags off the glass.
Michael Dempsey led Truman with 15 points and eight boards.
The Dragons forced 18 Falcon turnovers and turned them into 29 points.
