PRATT COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 4:30 p.m. Friday in Pratt County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Honda motorcycle driven by Gino Oglie Zavatta, 67, Apache Junction, Arizona, was northbound on Kansas 61 sixteen miles northeast of Pratt.
The motorcycle crossed the center line to pass a vehicle. A southbound 2017 Freightliner semi driven by Samuel Ghebremeskel, 31, Las Vegas, struck the motorcycle.
Zavatta was pronounced dead at the scene. Ghebremeskel was not injured. Zavatta was wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.
