HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch Rec is in search of a full-time professional that embraces collaboration, innovation, and community involvement as the Neighborhood Development Manager, a position that is a collaboration between Hutch Rec and the City of Hutchinson.
The Neighborhood Development Manager will work collaboratively with residents, community partners, and service/community organizations in the development and implementation of innovative neighborhood development strategies and programs to encourage and provide opportunities for investments that will create pride in all Hutchinson neighborhoods. The manager will manage the Hutchinson Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative (HHNI), including direct supervision of Hutch Rec’s full-time HHNI Coordinator.
HHNI is a collaborative approach to improve the marketability of area neighborhoods, making them an attractive place residents and newcomers choose to live for an enhanced quality of life. Thriving neighborhoods come from healthy communities. Hutch Rec wants to ensure our community is an attractive place to live, work, play, and raise a family. Those are all aspects of the vision to inspire all residents to enjoy healthy living while strengthening community spirit. HHNI has six featured neighborhoods and has recently begun work in a seventh featured neighborhood.
