David Wayne Lawrence, 65, of Valley Center, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He was born June 09,1957 to Robert Lee Lawrence Sr. and Joyce (Greathouse) Sucht in Downey, California. He attended Hadley Junior High and North High School. He was a lifelong resident of Wichita, Kansas and Valley Center.
After graduation, David worked at Burger Stan, as a CNA and co-owner of B & D Construction in Wichita. He enjoyed talking with people and sharing his faith in Jesus. He loved all things outdoors including, swimming, scuba diving, water skiing, motor cross and horseback riding. David loved growing flowers and bird watching. He met a lifetime goal of building his family home. Besides his horses, most of all, David loved his family, his wife Susan, daughter Sarah, son-in-law Danny, all his grandchildren, and his dogs, Lola and Billie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Lawrence, his step-father, Donald Sucht, and sister, Tammy Lavon Lawrence.
David is survived by his wife, Susan (Kiser) Lawrence, daughter Sarah Ralstin (Daniel) of Valley Center, grandchildren, Paige Kane (TX), Kaylee Kane (TX), Xander Kane, Kash Kane, and Naomi Ralstin of Valley Center, brother Robert Lawrence Jr of Valley Center, mother Joyce (Greathouse) Sucht of Wichita, brother & sister in-laws, Henry & Lori Salas (TX), Doug & Debie Kvassay (AZ), John & Becky Norris (TX ), John & Patty Myers (TX), Brad Kiser (TX), numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday September 11, 2022 at Three Angels Church: 4558 North Hydraulic Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David's memory can be made to Three Angels Church for a memorial garden.
