WBB: Dragons improve road record

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Hutchinson improved to 4-4 on the road this year with a 10-point victory over Cowley Saturday night. 

Mya Williams found her groove once again with 27 points against the Tigers (12-8, 8-7) after dropping 31 on Cowley earlier this season. 

Williams hit 3 of 6 three-point tries after going 1 of 6 earlier this week.

Hutchinson (17-4, 11-4) took a 10-point halftime lead after trailing by five in the first two minutes. 

That lead swelled to 16 with three minutes left. 

Williams scored 12 of her 27 from the free throw line. 

Mel Kailahi added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. 

Kalyn Ervin scored all 12 of her points in the second half. 

Tor'e Alford just missed a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. 

FINAL: Hutchinson 84 Cowley 74

Baylee Fincher led Cowley with 26 points. 

Hutchinson shot 47.6% from three with 10 makes.
