
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two people escaped a basement fire Thursday afternoon in Hutchinson.
According to a release from the Hutchinson Fire Department, they were called at 5:21 p.m. Thursday to 400 West 7th.
The fire was contained to the basement. The cause of the fire was the result of using spray foam insulation in close proximity to a water heater.
The flammable vapors emitted from the can were ignited by the pilot light on the water heater. No one was hurt.
